Private Lives

An intimate comedy by Noël Coward

Midlands Arts Centre, Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham 3-5 December 2003

“I think very few people are completely normal really, deep down in their private lives”

All the elements of the perfect honeymoon: The grand hotel, the breathtaking views, sipping cocktails at sunset… and your ex-wife in the room next door!

In Noël Coward’s sparkling masterpiece, former husband and wife Elyot and Amanda inadvertently arrive at the same idyllic honeymoon location, accompanied by their new spouses.

Coward’s legendary wit illuminates four characters grappling with tumultuous emotions, trapped in love and unable to escape the force of “cosmic thingummys.”

Passion and tempers run high in this humorous look at modern romance in which Absolute Banana reveal exactly what men and women inflict upon each other in the name of love.
